Multi-Project Management

Multi-Project Management includes planning and controlling of a company’s project portfolio. It can consist of many interdependent projects and/or programs, which are often embedded in an international context. A program contains several related projects and ends when all of its projects are finished. Multi-Project Management is a permanent task for enterprises and forms a fundamental key to sustained success.


Multi-Project Management hovers in an area of conflict between operational and strategic decisions. On the one hand, the strategic view demands an efficient project-portfolio with an “accurate” center. On the other hand, the operational view wants projects to be performed in an economical efficient way and brought to a successful end.
